Help us evaluate our community pain campaign
We are evaluating our pain messaging campaign through a series of online surveys starting in February 2026 and we’d love for you to be part of it.
We’re looking for people who:
Live or work in or around Mt Gambier, Naracoorte, Millicent, Hamilton, Ararat, Stawell, or Horsham;
Are 18 years or older;
Speak English;
Experience chronic pain.
If you're interested or just want to find out more information, click this link and we’ll get in touch for a quick chat.
We’re collecting your name, phone number, and email address so we can contact you about this research study. We are collecting information about your chronic pain and location to confirm you are eligible for the study. Your details will be stored securely on the University of South Australia server and will only be used for this study. Your information is private and confidential. Only the research team will be able to see it.
What happens if I join?
Full details are outlined in the Participant Information Sheet. A summary is provided below.
If you take part, you’ll be invited to complete four online surveys over the next 18 months (surveys sent out every six months - February & August 2026, and February & August 2027). Each survey will take about 30 minutes of your time, and you will be paid $50 per survey completed.
In the survey, we will ask you about:
· your knowledge and beliefs about pain;
· your experiences of living with pain;
· how you manage your pain and health; and
· your wellbeing and daily activities.
Prior to enrolment we will also ask you to complete a short questionnaire that tells us a bit about yourself to help us understand who is included in our study.
