Who is a Community Stakeholders & Decision-maker?

In the context of this EQUIPP study, Community Stakeholder & Decision-makers refers to individuals or representatives who hold a position within an organization or community group that has a vested interest in addressing chronic pain for the people within their community. These individuals or organizations typically have some level of influence, responsibility, or decision-making power within their respective domains and communities.

Can I take part in this study?

Yes! We encourage healthcare professionals to participate in this study, provided you meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older

  • Fluent in English

  • Live or work in one of the following locations (or surrounding areas):

    • Mount Gambier

    • Naracoorte

    • Millicent

    • Hamilton

    • Ararat

    • Stawell

    • Horsham

What will happen if I join the study?

If you choose to participate, you’ll be invited to attend 1 to 3 workshops (2–3 hours long with breaks). These workshops will take place in person in the following towns: Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Millicent, Hamilton, Ararat, Stawell, or Horsham. You may also have the option to attend virtually (online).

During the workshops, we’ll ask you about your experiences with chronic pain, pain education, and self-management. You’ll also help us brainstorm ideas for the EQUIPP education campaign, giving feedback on how the campaign should be designed and run. We’ll ask you to review and provide input on prototypes for the campaign, considering how easy they are to design, deliver, and make accessible to the community. After the workshops, you’ll fill out a short questionnaire.

Reimbursement for participation

You will be reimbursed for your time and travel as follows:

  • Time: $130 per hour ($260–$390 total per workshop).

  • Travel: $20 each way for in-person attendance ($40 total per workshop).

These payments align with SA Health Guidelines.
